Your Story

Generations

My mom was famous for her cheesecake. She only made it for Passover, and only when we hosted the Seder at our house. We all had the impression that it was an extremely complicated and laborious process to create this delicious and decadent dessert. I remember my uncle used to call every week or so leading up to Pesach to make sure my mom was going to make the cheesecake. We all miss mom dearly, but luckily she taught my sister to how to make it, and she now makes the cheesecake whenever she hosts Passover Seder at her house. She's also teaching her daughters how to make it.

Recently an old friend sent me a note she found from mom who had written to her with the cheesecake recipe on it. What a beautiful gift to have her own hand-written recipe for this special cheesecake! Next year, Passover's at our house...
